Vacation Message in Email

How do I set a vacation message in email?

It depends if you are using SAS (Zimbra) or RCI for your email.

For SAS (Zimbra) email, please do the following:

1. Login to SAS Webmail at: https://webmail.sas.rutgers.edu
2. Click "Preferences"
3. Click the "Mail" tab.
4. In the "Receiving Messages" section, check "Send auto-reply message."
5. In the text box, enter the out of office message that will be sent.
6. Set the start and end dates for using this message.
7. Click "Save" in the upper left of the page. The away message feature is enabled immediately.

To disable the vacation message, please do the following:

1. Login to SAS Webmail at: https://webmail.sas.rutgers.edu
2. Click "Preferences"
3. Click the "Mail" tab.
4. In the "Receiving Messages" section, un-check "Send auto-reply message."
5. Click "Save" in the upper left of the page.

For RCI email, please do the following:

1. Log into Webmail: webmail.rci.rutgers.edu
2. Click on "Webtools" at the top of the page
3. Click on "vacation message"
4. Click "setup vacation"
5. Select an appropriate message from the "Subject" dropdown menu
6. In the text box, enter the out of office message that will be sent.
7. Click "Submit"

To disable the vacation message, please do the following:

1. Log into Webmail: webmail.rci.rutgers.edu
2. Click on "Webtools" at the top of the page
3. Click on "vacation message"
4. Click on "Disable vacation"
