Importing Thunderbird Address Book into Zimbra

In the images that follow, the username and account information of an IT employee was used for demonstration purposes.
Please replace these entries with your individual information where appropriate.
To copy your address book from Thunderbird do the following steps:
Go to the Address Book within Thunderbird and click on the Address Book you wish to export
Select EXPORT from the Tools Menu
Type in a file name -- "MyAddresses.csv," for example
Select Comma Separated from the pop-up menu. It defaults to LDIF, you do NOT want LDIF
Push the SAVE button
Click on the PREFERENCES tab
Click on the IMPORT / EXPORT tab
Click on the CONTACTS button
Click on the button BROWSE button next to DESTINATION
Select NEW and create a new address book "My Address Book" for example
Push the OK Button
Push the OK Button again
Click on the BROWSE button for FILE and find the file created above
It will have some obscure name ending in .csv
Push the OPEN Button
Push the IMPORT button in the lower right
Click on the Address Book tab and check to make sure your contacts came in correctly
