  • Deleting a Menu Item (Joomla! 4)

    Overview

    This procedure explains how to delete a menu item from a menu. 

    We recommend unpublishing a menu item if you do not want to permanently delete it.

    In this example, we will delete the menu item "PLAYGROUND" in the Main Menu:

    Sample menu item: "PLAYGROUND"

    Procedure

    1. Login to the Administrator back-end URL for the website.
    2. Go to Menus (see #1 below) and select the menu containing the item to be unpublished (see #2 below):

    3. Check the checkbox for the menu item to be unpublished (see #3 below).
    4. Click the Trashbutton (see #4 below).

    5. The menu item will no longer appear in the menu:

  • Unpublishing a Menu Item (Joomla! 4)

    Overview

    This procedure explains how to unpublish a menu item so that it can no longer be accessed in the front end.

    In this example, we will unpublish the menu item "PLAYGROUND" in the Main Menu:

    Procedure

    1. Login to the Administrator back-end URL for the website.
    2. Go to Menus (see #1 below) and select the menu containing the item to be unpublished (see #2 below):
